Being a Realtor in my small home town in Arkansas was a blessing and a wonderful challenge. I have known most of the folks I see every day since childhood, and many become my clients at important points in their lives. I may help them find their first home, or sell an older house to settle an estate.
Now I’ve embarked on a new adventure by moving to Chattanooga, like me there are transplants from larger cities who are brought to this jewel of a city by a corporation, family, or just want a new start like me. These folks depend on me to help assimilate them into a community unlike anyplace they’ve ever called home. I have true empathy for others who feel like “a stranger in a strange place”--I’m there now and have been many times over… before I became a Realtor I spent two years working in industrial China, where I experienced this difficult transition myself. I understand how stressful and unnerving it can be at times.
I find the opportunity to build relationships and make connections the most rewarding part of being a Realtor. Whether I facilitate a home purchase, provide a simple introduction, or call a local clinic for their sick child, for me... it’s all about helping people
